Data

The SEGUE project will rely on the Dutch Census Bureau of Statistics (CBS) microdata as its empirical source of information. The Social Statistical Dataset collection (SSD) corresponds to administrative information collected by the Dutch official agencies about their residents' characteristics, at the level of individuals, households, houses and geographical areas.

Our selection should describe the economic and financial situation of about 15 million adult residents of the Netherlands, along with their housing and family situation, longitudinally between 2004 and 2023.

This represents a rich, individual and longitudinal dataset that can only be safely stored in the CBS remote environment for obvious privacy reasons. To meet the FAIR principles of research data despite the sensitive nature of this particular data, we will however give access to syntax files allowing to reproduce the research results for those accredited to work with CBS microdata and aggregated data files on this website.
